Terminal Performance:

At conventional hunting distances with higher impact velocities (0–400 yards), the ELD-X® bullet delivers continuous expansion throughout the penetration path. The thick rear jacket shank and InterLock® ring help retain the core and jacket together, typically providing 50–60% weight retention for deep penetration and massive energy transfer.

At extended ranges beyond 400 yards where impact velocities are lower, the Heat Shield® tip is driven rearward into the bullet to initiate controlled expansion. This creates a large mushroom profile with 85–90% retained weight, allowing for deep penetration and significant wound cavities on game animals.
